. . . maybe you can’t see forever, but you can certainly see both Saba (on the horizon at left) and St Eustatius from the vantage point of Brimstone Hill in north-west St Kitts. The three islands, separated by a couple dozen miles of sea, are all peaks of a submerged volcanic range at the very edge of the Caribbean tectonic plate, their sheer slopes rising abruptly from their coastlines.
