There are over 360 islands in the Bahamas’ Exuma chain, more than one for every day of the year — and even one that’s a little piece of pig heaven. Big Major Spot Island, despite its name, is little bigger than a sandbank, and no one knows exactly how it came to have a population of friendly, semi-wild pigs. They forage in the white sand, frolic in the crystal water, and pose for photos with tourists who visit “Pig Island” in increasing numbers.
