The dry season brings Port of Spain’s colourful poui trees into their glory

The dazzling pink or yellow flowers of Trinidad’s poui trees may be the dry season’s most spectacular sight. Scattered across the hills of the Northern Range or splashing Port of Spain’s Queen’s Park Savannah with colour, the trees’ blossoming in March and April usually foretells the return of the rains in the coming weeks.
